In the sacred Tzolk’in calendar of the Mayan Indians, 20 days exist, each possessing a multi-layered aspect from higher to lower
When we take note of the days as they pass by, we notice that they have differing dynamics and we can verify for ourselves when we read from the Mayan texts about the qualities of each day and from our experiential understandings, we can acknowledge that the Divine source is one of wisdom and Supreme intelligence
As today is a six day, I thought I would mention one of it’s characteristics
Six symbolizes ultimate stability in all aspects of life, but in particular, the vitality of the family. According to the Mayan perspective, the stability of the family is based on six facets: 1. Health 2. Understanding 3. Work/employment 4. Friendship 5.Property or possessions 6. Positive and negative actions. Each of the six are closely interrelated. If the family lacks any of the six, it suffers. If a family lacks employment, the finances as well as the self-esteem of the head of the household will plummet. If there is no understanding and friendship, there will be fights between family members and/or neighbours and so on – – –
At the end of the day, we can say that the matrix in which we live, is perfectly constructed for us to take full advantage of our single life experience. If we experience struggle and hardship, it means that we are living against the flow of things. Live in the flow according to your individual circumstance!
